The White Horse Inn is reopening its doors — a historic country pub with bags of character, and we're looking for a General Manager / Front of House lead to help us bring it back to life and run front of house day-to-day.
This is a rare chance to join right at the start. You won't be stepping into someone else's system - you'll help build ours: the standards, the rhythm of service, the feel of the place. If you like the idea of shaping a pub from its very first opening night, this is for you.
 
What you'll be doing

● Running front of house across the bar, dining, and events spaces day to day

● Leading and rostering the FOH team, and helping recruit as we build it out

● Owning the guest experience — from a quick pint at the bar to private events and overnight stays

● Managing bookings, tables, and service flow across food, drinks, and accommodation

● Working closely with the kitchen to keep service running smoothly

● Helping shape and uphold standards, SOPs, and training as we establish them

● Keeping on top of stock, ordering, and supplier relationships alongside management

● Supporting compliance — licensing conditions, Challenge 25, health & safety
What we're looking for

● Proven experience managing front of house in a pub, restaurant, or hospitality venue

● A natural host — someone who makes guests feel looked after, whether it's locals at the bar or a private party

● Comfortable leading a team and confident making decisions on a busy shift

● Organised, hands-on, and happy to muck in wherever needed in a small, growing operation

● A personal licence holder (or willing to obtain one)

● Genuinely excited by the idea of helping open — not just run — a pub
